This site is written, and managed by me.  I am a retired high school educator and boys basketball coach.  I spent more than 40 years in the game.  I attended numerous coaching clinics, read many articles and observed hundreds of games.  I have one motivation or goal with this site.  I want to share some of my experiences  and thoughts about what I believe is a critical role we coaches can play in the lives of the young people we are privileged to work with.  

I would hope I have learned a great deal about coaching, and specifically,  coaching basketball.  I hope by sharing what I have learned I could help those still "actively in the arena."

If it matters, and I am not sure it does, let me share some numbers. Because for some of you,  it will give me a certain degree of credibility ....
     1) The TEAMS I coached won 595 games
    2) The TEAMS I coached won 9 conference titles
    3) The TEAMS I coached won 2 section titles and made 2 state
          tournament appearances.
    4) The TEAMS I coached won at least 20 games for the last 11 years
          that I coached.
    5) In 2016 I was inducted into the MBCA Hall of Fame.
